Meibography: Images allow us to image and evaluate the oil glands in the eye lids which are the root cause of dry eye for 85% of patients suffering from Dry Eye Disease.

OCT: Ocular Coherence Tomography allows us to image the thickness of the retina nerve fiber layer to manage glaucoma and macular degeneration.

Visual Field Analyzer: The visual field refers to the total area in which objects can be seen in the side (peripheral) vision as you focus your eyes on a central point. Conditions like glaucoma, concussion, and stoke can cause blind spots in the peripheral or central vision. Visual Field Analysis can determine if there are any blind spots in the vision while mapping out their size, shape, and location. Repeat visual field tests are often needed to determine if the condition is changing or worsening.

AdaptDx: Dark adaptation is our eyes’ ability to adjust from bright to dark or in dimly lit situations. Research shows this function is compromised from the earliest stages of AMD and impairment increases as the disease progresses. In fact, impaired dark adaptation indicates the presence of AMD at least three years before clinical signs of drusen (protein & lipid deposits under the retina) are visible.

Corneal Topography: Corneal topography is a special photography technique that maps the surface of the clear, front window of the eye (the cornea). It works much like a 3D (three-dimensional) map of the world, that helps identify features like mountains and valleys. Corneal topography is key in diagnosing and monitoring keratoconus. Keratoconus is a progressive disease of the cornea (the clear window on the front of the eye) which makes it very difficult to achieve clear vision with glasses. Keratoconus often requires specialty contact lenses such as scleral lenses or SynergEyes and in some cases requires corneal transplant surgery.
